Avalon grew up in Baltimore County and went on to study Religion & Social Justice at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA. She moved back to Baltimore to join Urban Teachers and earn an MS in Education at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. While teaching early childhood special education Avalon saw the immense need for emotional health supports.

Avalon joined Clymb in 2022 to help spread emotional wellness beyond her own classroom. She grew up with meditation and mindfulness practices and understands how critical healthy coping skills are to one’s well-being. Avalon is excited to use her background teaching to help teachers, families, and anyone else learn to use Clymb.
