This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) applies when you access or use clymbup.io, clymbup.app, the Clymb web application, or the Clymb mobile application (collectively, the “Service”) provided by Infinite Focus, Inc. (“Infinite Focus” or “Clymb”).
If you purchase the Service, you are affirming that you are at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your state or province of residence (whichever is greater), have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract with us, and have read this Policy, the License, as well as the Terms of Use and understand and agree to its terms.
- Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- a. Social-Emotional Learning Competency: When a child first uses Clymb, they complete an social-emotional learning survey. This provides baseline data about their SEL competency. They then take the survey in 30 day intervals.
- b. Mood Check-ins: Children self-report their mood and the software monitors their emotional states over time.
- c. Usage Data: The software logs which resources a child views and engages with, the time spent on the platform, and the browser used.
- How We Use the Information
The data we collect serves multiple purposes:
- a. Personalization: To recommend personalized resources tailored to each student’s emotional needs.
- b. Improvement: To enhance the quality and relevance of our resources.
- c. Research & Development: To understand broad trends in emotional wellness and improve our algorithms.
- Data Storage, Security & Retention
- a. All collected data is encrypted and stored securely with industry-standard encryption protocols, both in transit and at rest.
- b. We take comprehensive measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure of data, and enforce strong password creation for all users.
- c. All user data is owned by the organization and is deleted permanently 30 days after the license ends, unless otherwise specified by schools or school districts.
- User Rights
- a. Users have the right to delete their data at any time by emailing info@clymbup.io.
- b. Parents or guardians have the right to review or delete their child’s data at any time.
- Child Privacy
As our software is intended for school-age children:
- a. We comply with relevant child data protection laws, such as the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
- b. We do not collect more data than is necessary for the functionality of our software.
- c. Parents or guardians have the right to review, alter, or delete their child’s data at any time.
- Disclosure to Third Parties
- a. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for advertising, tracking, or any other purposes.
- b. No data is shared with any third party, except in cases where school districts choose to use SSO platforms like Clever, ClassLink, or Google Classroom.
- c. We do not use ads in Clymb, and there is no ad targeting.
- Tracking & Cookies
- a. We do not employ any tracking technologies in our software.
- b. The software only uses Lang cookies to store users’ selected language.
- Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
